The terms the model, its configuration and this wiki use, with the item where each term lives in the configuration. The terms of a journey follow the definitions agreed in #4; the timetable terms follow GTFS.
The travel from an origin to a destination that leaves at one departure moment.
Option
One journey in the Pareto front of an OD pair at a departure moment, with its travel time, price and other criteria. The output has one row per option.
tt_<moment>_<block> in the output folder
Leg
A part of a journey: for example walking to the first stop, a ride by bus, a transfer, a ride by tram and walking from the last stop are five legs.
Parts in the output of an OD pair (OD_Output)
Pre-transport
The first leg, from the origin to the first stop: walking or cycling. Its type is W, C, C_RM, C_RMT or C_Ric.
ModelParameters/PreTransport
Post-transport
The last leg, from the last stop to the destination: walking, cycling or the OV-fiets. Its type is W, C, RM_C, RMT_C or OVf_C.
ModelParameters/PostTransport
Connection
A pair of neighbourhood and stop that is reachable within the maximum walking or cycling time, with its network travel time and distance. A connection is a candidate for the first or last leg of a journey.
One of the sets of connections that the model calculates once per analysis date and neighbourhood set: Org2Stops_Walking, Org2Stops_Cycling, Stops2Dest_Cycling and, when origins and destinations differ, Stops2Dest_Walking. The pre- and post-transport types are selections from them.
PublicTransport_Prep/BaseSets
Public transport leg
A ride within one fare group from a boarding stop to an alighting stop: regional transport outside the NS fare network (OD_R) or the NS fare network (OD_L).
PublicTransport_Prep/Impl/OD_R, OD_L
Transfer
The change between two public transport legs, at the same stop or by walking to a nearby one, with a minimum transfer time.
PublicTransport_Prep/CreateTransfers_T
Chain
The public transport part of a journey, from the first boarding stop to the last alighting stop: one or more public transport legs with the transfers between them, with departure, arrival and price.
PublicTransport_Prep/PT; the chain joiner ChainJoiner_T
Direct trip
A journey without public transport: walking (WW), cycling (CC) or by car (Car) from origin to destination.
PublicTransport_Prep/Direct

Term
Meaning
In the configuration
Stop
A place where a vehicle stops to let travellers board or alight (GTFS stops.txt).
PublicTransport_Prep/Impl/Stops
Route
A line, such as bus 11 or tram 5 (GTFS routes.txt).
Trip
A route at one moment: one run of a vehicle along its stops (GTFS trips.txt).
Agency
The operator of a route (GTFS agency.txt).
Mode
The kind of vehicle: train, metro, tram, bus or ferry.
Classifications/GTFS_Modes
Place
The location of a stop, an origin or a destination in the network.
PublicTransport_Prep/Impl/Places
Time-expanded graph
The public transport network in which each node is a combination of a time, a stop and a route, so that a path through it respects the timetable.
Get_Windowed_Agency_Set_T
Flex
A demand-responsive bus line, recognised by its name.

Fares
Term
Meaning
In the configuration
Fare group
The set of operators within which one fare applies to a whole public transport leg; NS (L) and regional transport (R and O) are separate groups.
FareGroup
Fixed price and variable price
The amount per boarding and the amount per kilometre of a leg, from the fare tables or the DOVA overview.
FixedPrice, VariablePrice
Tariff units
The distance unit of the NS fare between two stations.
The options of an OD pair that no other option beats on every criterion; a relative epsilon on travel time keeps options that are only slightly faster out.
A file or folder with intermediate results that the model writes once and reads back in later runs: the GTFS, OSM and TomTom caches, the base sets, the chain cache and the car caches.
MakeUnlinkedData; %LocalDataProjDir%: IntermediateResults, GTFS, OSM and TomTom
Decoupled
Written to a cache and read back, instead of calculated in every run.
The three items of a decoupled result: Calc calculates it, Write writes it to the cache, Read reads the cache back.
for example PrePostTransport/<base set>/Calc, Write, Read
Signature
The text with every setting that determines the content of a cache or an output folder; it is in the folder of the cache, or beside a parquet cache, and the model reads such a cache only when its signature matches. The source caches have no signature: their name holds their edition. The name of a cache holds a hash of its signature.
Templates/Signature_T
Revision
A part of a signature that is raised with a code change that changes the content of a cache, so that the old cache is no longer read.
