join_equal_values_uint8_16_32_64

Relational functions join_equal_values_uint8, join_equal_values_uint16, join_equal_values_uint32, join_equal_values_uint64

syntax

  • join_equal_values_uint8(first_rel, second_rel)
  • join_equal_values_uint16(first_rel, second_rel)
  • join_equal_values_uint32(first_rel, second_rel)
  • join_equal_values_uint64(first_rel, second_rel)

definition

These functions work in the same way as the Join_equal_values function, only they result in a domain unit of respectively uint8, uint16, uint32 or uint64 value types.

Since GeoDMS 20.23.1 join_equal_values_uint8 and join_equal_values_uint16 report an error when a value occurs more often in one of the arguments than their value type can count, in both variants described under implementation on the Join_equal_values page. Before, the indexed variant, which is used for instance for a plain uint32 key, let that count wrap around (300 occurrences were counted as 44), which corrupted the result or crashed the application.
